Hi all,

Philip just finished his keynote address at SLCC 2010, and during his talk
he discussed our future plans for Teen Second Life.  Some time over the
coming months, we will be closing Teen Second Life as a standalone product,
while at the same time lowering the minimum age for the Main Grid to 16+
while we work on creating adequate solutions to serve the younger
demographic as well.

There is a tremendous amount of great work currently on the Teen Grid.
Incorporating this energy and innovation into the Main Grid in a safe,
secure way is very important to us, and we want to ensure that it is done
well.

There will be plenty of questions that come up regarding our decision, and I
want to establish a clear communication channel, and to ensure that the
educational community has someone to speak with.  I will try to answer the
questions that I can in a timely fashion, and will have much ongoing
dialogue with the community around this topic.  I will also be setting up
time inworld to discuss this with Teen Grid users, and will be in touch with
details around that.

Un film che fila liscio come bere un bicchiere d’acqua, peccato sia poco conosciuto dagli amanti delle piattaforme virtuali sia game che non.

Vincitore di numerosi premi, racconta la storia di Ben un ragazzo autistico che scopre una dimensione nella quale riesce a relazionarsi con il mondo, seppure virtuale.

Quello che non gli è possibile nella vita reale, cioè il contatto con l’altro da sè, avviene mediato da un ambiente fake, ma che permette una immedesimazione tale con il suo avatar, da finire con il trovare l’amore della sua vita.

Purtroppo la difficoltà di Ben nello scindere i due mondi si ferma e la situazione rischia di precipitare…

Consiglio di vederlo, merita.

a parte il definire lo scopo, moltissime donne che per un motivo o l’altro non hanno potuto godere del privilegio della gravidanza, scoprono ora con il tantra hud, per esempio, fedele riproduttore del ciclo femminile e di tutte le incognite che rendono o meno una gravidanza possibile,l’attesa,l’ansia e quando il momento la gioia di un test positivo… Mostra tutto.
Se fatto seriamente, come ogni esperienza di gioco dovrebbe essere fatta, da un senso di comprensione e completezza maggiore, da portarsi in RL.
Ho visto donne fare questo, per questo motivo, e raccontano le loro giornate di attesa, con nausee che arrivano sino ad RL e che, ridendo mi hanno detto, beh cosa vuoi farci…i pro ed i contro di una nascita in arrivo

What we liked: We loved the scenery, very pretty in the garden area. Liked the flower shop inside, liked that it wasn’t very crowded, we danced and laughed and just chatted amogst each other. Easy to navigate and a good place for beginners to learn a few of the basics.

While trying to generate some archival screen shots, Andrew and I managed to get a build running of Second Life circa August 2001. We called it “LindenWorld” back in those days. What is the Second Life Community Convention?

The goal of the Second Life Community Convention (SLCC) is to bring the many residents of the Second Life community together to network, build friendships and to discuss Second Life in a common forum. Since its inception, SLCC has been organized by the community for the community. All of the organizers and volunteers who plan and staff each year’s convention donate their time, expertise, skills and love of Second Life to create a great experience for attendees.

While we all value our experiences in the virtual world, SLCC allows us to meet each other in person, share meals together, learn from one another, and celebrate the abundant creativity that Second Life makes possible.

In the Beginning…

In the summer of 2005, a group of Second Life residents took a trip to San Francisco for a “real life invasion of Linden Lab” and during the course of the visit, an idea was born to invite more Second Life residents to attend a meet-n-greet at the State of Play III conference in October. Through conversations in the Second Life forums, it became clear that there was wide interest in such a real life meet-up, and the next two months were spent in a flurry of organizing, community meetings, and planning.

The 1st Annual Second Life Community Convention was held on October 8-9, 2005 in tandem with the State of Play III conference at the New York School of Law in New York City. Linden Lab CEO Philip Rosedale gave the keynote dressed as his Second Life avatar, and over 150 residents, Linden Lab employees, and other industry professionals attended the event. The founding resident organizers were Timothy Allen (SL: FlipperPA Peregrine), Jennifer Vatza (SL: Jennyfur Peregrine), Jerry Paffendorf (SL: SNOOPYbrown Zamboni), Laura van Hook (SL: Valadeza Anubis), and Ron Blechner (SL: Hiro Pendragon). Jeska Linden served as a liaison with Linden Lab and helped tremendously with the event.
